Mercilon 28 (Desogestrel, Ethinylestradiol) – 28 tablets

Mercilon 28 is a combined oral contraceptive to prevent pregnancy. Each of 21 tablets contains a small amount of two different female hormones, which are desogestrel (0.15 mg) and ethinylestradiol (0.02 mg), other 7 tablets contains only lactose and no hormones and they are called placebo tablets.  Because of the small amount of hormones, Mercilon 28 is considered as low-dose contraceptive. When taken correctly (without missing tablets), the chance of becoming pregnant is very low.
