Microgynon 30 ED is a combined oral contraceptive used to help prevent pregnancy. It contains two female sex hormones: the oestrogen ethinylestradiol and the progestogen levonorgestrel. When taken correctly and consistently according to the prescribed instructions, Microgynon 30 ED helps provide effective oral contraception.

Each box of Microgynon 30 ED contains 28 tablets:

• 21 active tablets containing levonorgestrel 0.150 mg and ethinylestradiol 0.030 mg.

• 7 larger white inactive tablets containing lactose.

The 21 active tablets contain the hormonal ingredients responsible for the contraceptive effect, while the 7 inactive tablets do not contain the contraceptive hormones.

Active Ingredients:

• Levonorgestrel: 0.150 mg per active tablet

• Ethinylestradiol: 0.030 mg per active tablet

• Lactose: contained in the 7 inactive tablets
